Fees and Payment
The standard fee is $280 for a 50-minute session.

(The APS National Schedule of Suggested Fees 2024-2025 has the standard consultation fee at $311).

This fee is payable upfront.
A Medicare rebate of $141.85 is available for clients referred under a Mental Health Care Plan, leaving you with a gap of $138.15.

You may be eligible for a rebate from your private insurer, however please note you can only claim the rebate from either Medicare or your private insurer, not both.

Cancellation Policy
If you ever need to reschedule an appointment, please give at least 48 hours’ notice, so your spot can be offered to someone else on the waiting list. There are no fees to reschedule in advance like this.

Late cancellations:
If you cancel between 24 and 48 hours of your scheduled appointment, a $140 late cancellation fee will apply (i.e., 50% of fee).

Appointments that are missed, forgotten, cancelled or changed within 24 hours incur a full cancellation fee of $280 (i.e., 100% of fee).

Please note that there is no rebate for a late cancellation fee from Medicare, private health insurance or ReturntoWorkSA/Motor Vehicle Accident Schemes.

Also note that you will not be booked for any future appointments until your cancellation fee has been paid.

Repeated cancellations/rescheduled appointments:
If you do not attend three consecutive scheduled appointments, or frequently cancel appointments, we will potentially terminate services if we believe the cancellations are hindering progress or preventing other clients from accessing services. If so, you will be discharged from psychology and a closure letter will be prepared to advise your GP (in cases where you accessed treatment via a GP referral). Should you then wish to reengage in treatment, you will require a new intake and will be placed on the waiting list for triage. It is not guaranteed that you will be triaged for future appointments.

New intakes:
If you cancel or do not attend your intake appointment and have not rebooked your appointment it will be assumed that you no longer require psychology services and you will be discharged back to your GP (in cases where you accessed treatment via a GP referral). Should you then wish to engage in treatment, you will require a new intake and will be placed on the waiting list for triage. It is not guaranteed that you will be triaged for future appointments.
